does DVD2SVCD detect 1:2.35 resolution ?

Hi there,

I want to backup THE MATRIX.
It is 1:2.35 anamorph.

Does DVD2SVCD detect that it is 1:2.35 ?
Can I choose 4:3 to view it on my PAL-TV?

Hi FSound,

D2S will detect it is 16:9 ;) and you should leave the default setting of 16:9 in aspect ratio as it is for the source (the DVD) you try to convert and not for the TV! - Please read the Sticky about the 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio in this forum right here above.

It is hard to understand - but it get's better the more often you will read it. ;)

P.S. Only choose 4:3 if you want to create an anamorphic SVCD to play perfectly on a 16:9 TV set
