vcd muxing overhead?

Hi

I had a problem with a wav file i was using as source to a vcd in tmpgenc(kept crashing at very end of file and video wouldn't play back)
so i did the video(in tmpgenc)and audio(in besweet>toolame).

The video was 524mb and the audio was 145mb for a total of 669mb but when i muxed them the resulting file was 911mb.is this normal or has something gone wrong?

no, it is a typical beggingers fault.

check:
1. in beseet the option of "vbr" must not be checked
2. mux the audio / video file using mpegtools of tpeg, but
select the VCD or SVCD templates in (advanced)"mutiplexing"
