Though DivX and other codecs can compress a movie better than MPEG2 (DVD), the bitrate of a full-resolution movie is a bit much to get it onto 2 CDs. You're doing yourself a favour if you 'shrink' the resolution a little, say to a horizontal of 640 pixels. That way, your encoded movie will show less blockiness.

Most encoders have built-in resize filters - in Virtual Dub, for example, go to the 'video' menue and choose 'filters'. Press 'add' and choose 'resize'. If you work with .avs-files, add a line like 'BicubicResize(640,320,0,0.75)' to your script.

ok!
I think I understand....
I use better quality on a divX than to get it into 2 cdīs...
Maybe thatīs why I havenīt had any problems with it...

thanx..
