so the deal was, i couldn't get the svideo out on my nvidia geforce3 ti200 to work properly. it turns out that to enable the device, you have to unplug your monitor and plug in the tv connection THEN boot.

my problem was that the detonator driver defaulted to some wierd pal output, which left the screen so messed up that i couldn't open the diplay properties and change the tv format. so, what i ened up having to do was use a pal converter i had lying around to get the image clean enough to rightclick->properties->advanced->displaydevice->tvformat = usa.

now. there has got to be a better way. does anyone else have some input? is there a regedit for this? have you had no problems because you've used your vendor specific drivers rather than the detonators? was there something else screwy with my setup?

i want some answers.

in any event, i can now watch my 100Mb divxed captures on wide screen and they look damn good. at the same time i can see mpeg2 artifacts from the dvd's i've been playing. huh.

have you tried tvtool to mirror the displays so you can have both monitor and tv out goign at the same time?

I have problems with my geforce 3 titanium 200 when I use the tv-out.
Thereīs seems to be black lines moving horisontaly over the picture..
Also, I canīt pick the svhs output, i have to use vhs (in tv-tool)

Switch to ntsc and that should fix your problem (well it worked for my friends gforce 2 mx400 which had lines through the pal signal but was very clean when used in ntsc mode).

PS. i'm not a fan of ntsc or anything but if it works you gotta use it.

With ntsc it was black and white and looked all messed up.
