Hello all,
I'm new to the scene -- just got a Pioneer burner last week. Background: I'm a highly accomplished at CD burning (Bought my first CD burner five years ago, back when blank CDRs were all gold, not tinted, cost $10 a pop, and burning software made coasters 60% of the time -- if the software didn't kill it, breathing on your PC wrong F'd it up), and I've been influential in the DC ripping scene almost two years now. Moving to DVD and I'm pumped.
I followed Doom9's instructions to the letter on how to 'split a dvd9 to 2 dvd-r while preserving menus and extras'.
Everything went exactly as described with the tools -- however, when I try to open VIDEO_TS.IFO in PowerDVD4 on my harddrive, I get the following:
Error code: 89030000 "Unknown file format."
Same thing happens when I try to open VTS_01_0.IFO.
I don't want to end up with any DVD-R coasters, so I won't burn until I get a successful harddrive replay first. There's a similar guide at www.vcdhelp.com which I may try next, but I wanted to shoot this one out to the forum first.
Thanks!
