Can anybody explain it in simple steps( I dont need detailed info ,
just wchih programs to use and in what order).
I've captured couple avi's using TV wonder (640x480 , morgan mjpeg
codec 30fps, 44.1 16b stereo).
Can do divix no problem for me, but I've never done svcd.
Can I just use vdub to clean, resize etc and encode to mpeg2 ?
I keep reading Doom's guides but they all related to dvd rips.
What if I have mjpeg file allready on hd?

It is important to me to make this SVCD (wedding footage that I
want to send to my parents and they dont have computer capable of
playing divix, but they have DVD player).
I'd like something simple and possibly using only freeware as
I dont plan to make many svcd's , like to stick to divix.
Thanks.

doom9 has a avi to mpeg guide which should cover your needs. www.doom9.org/mpg/avi2svcd.htm. another option would be to try dvd2svcd, which has a (beta) avi2svcd function. it's worth a try.

Go to www.tmpgenc.net and download tmpgenc program. Load SVCD profile for PAL or NTSC, pick the .avi file and hit the START button.
