I just got a really wild idea... as we all know, GKnot is a front end for many programs.

Well, what if someone wrote a "wizard" front end for GKnot to simplify it even more? Something like a regular Windows wizard that walks a user thru each step asking simple questions, configures GKnot and launches it, even launching Smartripper at the beginning & choosing folders, etc.

Hell, if nobody does it, maybe I'll do it myself one of these days... Visual Basic would be ideal for a job like that. Then Flask & XMpeg could be dispensed of completely, except for die-hards :).

Dumb idea maybe but who knows? ;)

Well I don't think this falls into the category of wizardry, but I did write a script for the smartripper and dvd2avi procedures, you can read about that here

Anyway I do think things can get overly simplyfied (I want as many options as possible :)). Ultimately what I would like is to have all the options, that u don't change on every encodeing, hidden away in a config file, that I can change if I know what I'am doing.
