In the new smart ripper 2.43 I beleive it gives a .m2v file that can be loaded straight into tmpg, you can now bypass using dvd2avi.

p.s. If only SMart Ripper could take out the wav's it would make it easy.

Then it wouldn't be a ripper! More an encoder or decoder depends on your point of view! :D

the latest official sr is version 2.41.. not 2.43. Latest builds always get submitted to Q-bert and me.. so if it ain't up on either place it either means we haven't uploaded it yet (which isn't the case here).. or it's bogus

plus.. sr2.41 creates a .d2v.. that's a dvd2avi project file.. no m2v (which would be an mpeg2 video stream)... but sr can extract the m2v if you mean that but that feature isn't exactly new and has been there in many builds. Plus.. dvd2avi creation is not really working properly yet.. especially when the movie is NTSC

I found out the output is not working the hard way, it made it impossible to keep the V+A in sync... I guess I should try something out before I praise it. But it did seem like a great idea.

I have read that there is a feature in 2.41 that allows for saving to d2v. Could somebody explain the process, or info on allowing tmpegnc to accept an m2v file. Thanks for any help.

Where did you get v2.43? All I can find is v2.41
