View Full Version : Problems making fake AVIs with GraphEdit

Okay, I've made an AVI with 2 audio streams (with NanDub). It works
fine playing in GraphEdit and with Morgan StreamSwitcher (there are some resync problems but I can sort that by playing with interleave).

I would like to make fake AVIs with GraphEdit as explained at the bottom of Doom9's guide to multilanguage AVIs but it doesn't work. I save as commentary.avi (after selecting *.* as the filetype) but
Media Player 6.4 and 7.1 both just choke with 'invalid filetype'.

I have a copy of GraphEdit from some random website - I tried downloading GraphEdit from Doom9's page but the link says
my referer is invalid every time (i do not use a download manager
and every other link on the download page works perfectly). I grabbed the DX8.1 SDK from ms's page and that copy doesn't work either.

What am I doing wrong?

I know I don't *need* to do this but I am trying to make a DivX that will work on a standard copy of Media Player

Thanks in advance,
Torne

I have the same problem with DivX 5.02 under w2k. I created a graph file under win98 and it works fine but not under w2k, because the "Avi Decompressor" between "DivX Decoder Filter" and "Video Renderer" absence. Adding this filter doesn't help. Has someone an idea why i can play that graph file in GraphEdit but after saving the graph file it doesn't work anymore?
