well i solved the problem, its all a bit of trial and error at the moment. The reason that vxd fails to create a cue file, is that it runs out of space on your hard drive. Really for the conversion you need a minumum of 10 gig. It took me a while to figure out the process and im not sure i fully do.
However, say you have your existing ripped vob files (or you may be ripping as well) say 5gb, dvd2svd appears to make a large 2 gig file then spilts it into 2 new files (+4gb by this point) finally when it get to the vxdbuild stage it makes image files the same size as the films on your hd (another 1-2gig). Now im on an 80gig raid0 setup and i started running out of space!, quick nip and tuck with partition magic pro to free up space.
I now have the problem of a badly configured fireburner as i seem to get varying versions of the burn depending on what options i choose, still wont play in my standalonde player?
