Used DVD-IT to copy some digital photos with menus onto DVD-R and DVD-RW and these seem to work fine on my standalone. Why not movies??

Using SPRUCEIT I can create a DVD using the mpeg and .ac3 file. It plays great on my Standalone Toshiba - try it DVDDude
