Alright heres the deal. I'm trying to burn 007 The World is Not Enough to a DVD-R. I've ripped just the main movie off the DVD. Used IfoEdit to strip out all the subtitles and also Vobld 21 as though that doesn't seem to be part of the movie... I guess.

Anyway at this point it's still over the 4.7 mark. 5.6 to be exact. So next step... I take it I am to use ReMPEG2. This is where I start to get lost. When I ripped the movie from the DVD I ripped the vobs individually so I use the .cff technique and that works fine. I set all the correct settings... match source, 720X480 etc. I then start the encode process...

7 hours later I get the .m2v which I load in some funky ass app that came with my DVD decoder card. Anyway it plays fine. Looks great. Oh but for some reason it never really stops the encode process. It's like it hangs on the last picture. Any idea what is up with that? I'm running XP Proffesioanl.

But no sound. I didn't strip the sound from the original Vobs. So I take it I have to rip the sound from the original vobs is that correct? Saying I do that then what do I use to combine the .m2v and the AC3 file? I know you use IfoEdit to remux the .m2v back to the original vobs. But how do you combine the AC3 and the .m2v?

Does that make sense or am I totally confused?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi!
oh that is really no problem because with remepeg you only transcode the videostream you have to remux it with ifo edit. And then try it again ;-)!
