Since subrip is used to create srt files to be muxed into an ogg file i decided to brush up and checked the guide. I would like to comment on two things. First
Start up SubRip 0.81b. Then select File - Open Vob(s)
this is trivial, but its 0.97b :)
Then load that new .srt file (File Open). If you've already closed SubRip then you may have to start ripping subtitles again, press Pause, in order to be able to access the menu. After loading the srt file press on the watch.
There is no need to start ripping a file again. On the menu, right below File there is a button that says VOB, to the right of that is a little blue box, if you hit this, the subtitle text window will come up.
Now, the way that doom9 explains to split the file to two cds is fine, but i think it is much simpler to hit the CD button or goto Output formt->split file. from here
Simply check the box that says Split Output file. Go into nandub and find the place where you split the cd and change the Stop at time to this. Now hit ok and go to the subtitle text window and then File->save as and choose filename-cd1.srt. Go back to the File split window and hit the arrow on the right side. this will replace the start time with the stop time. After this, hit Last sub, ok, and save this file.
I know this isnt the best explanation, but i think it saves people some time cutting and pasting, which i grumbled about when i first read the guide.
