I followed the instructions on how to convert a avi file into a mpeg file so I can make a VCD. However, when I run the multi-plexing utility on TMPG, it splits the streams like it is supposed to, but it is only 10 minutes 24 seconds long. They make a nice vcd file I guess, but I only have ten minutes of an hour and a 1/2 movie. What should I do?

You can try using bbmpeg for multiplexing.

you say you are trying to multiplex then you say it splits it as it should..........multiplexing is joining together,de-multiplexing is splitting up.
the best way is to get your audio from the avi as wav using vdub then use the avi as video source and wav as audio source in your mpg encoder then theres no need to multiplex.
