Sorry for the cross post but I think I posted in the wrong forum and no one is answering my post.
hey everyone.
Im new to encoding SVCD and this is probably a simple problem that someone knows the answer to so here goes.
I extracted the DVD movie to my hard disk, created a dv2 file in DVD2AVI, extracted the audio as (*.wav) using VOB2AUDIO (this sounded aboslutley fine).
Opened all this into TMPenc tried to follow the DOOM9 tutorial as much as I could. Some of the settings were locked so I couldnt change them. (note I tried this with & without toolame). Encoded the whole movie twice and each time it ended up like this - <sample>
Shitty Video!!! (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/craigweb2k/pro.mpg)
I mean at each time the audio was like this... really tinny like the movie was being played in a tin can. I dont understand why because the audio in the wav sounds fine. I mean I even went so far as to unloack the settings and encode a bit at 48khz.. and I wish this was compliant because that sounded allright.
Please, someone tell me what I am doing wrong
