Hey all, I'm new to this forum and I already have my first question. I have a divx of lord of the rings that runs at 23.98 frames per second and I want to make it standard NTSC compliant so that I can make a VCD to watch on my DVD player (in other words, I want to convert to 29.97 frames/second). I used avifrate to convert the video and that's no problem but the audio stays at 23.98 frames/sec and is way out of synch after I convert the video. My question is: is there any way to convert the audio to match my new video frame rate? The only thing that I saw that got close to doing this was besweet GUI but that can only convert to PAL at 25 frames/sec (not what I need:( ). If anybody knows the answer to this question I would relly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you read this guide here: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/conversion_guide.htm
and this one :

You should find your answers over there (especially in the first guide)
take care

23.976 fps is still ntsc compliant and should play back on your standalone.i haven't come across a standalone that plays vcd that can't play a 23.976 fps disc.
