What do you want to do with it?
Burn it???
If so, nrg is a Nero image file.
So get Nero and select Burn Image.

i figured out my problem, but i guess u didnt read my post properly, i said how do i make a .nrg image off my hdd, which means i want to make the image itself not burn it...

you can create an image file with Nero by choosing the "Image Recorder" Device as your CD-writer. Then just go ahead as if you wanted to burn a CD.

This is what is a little different in Nero than in other burn programs :-)
