Hi everybody
I just want to say that Gordian Knot is an amazing program. I've been using different pack on my crappy computer, but I have to tell you that this one is very stable so far (that means a lot on my system!). Quality is amazing, everything work great!!
One question though. When GK encode the sound, does it take into account the delay of the audio when mixing in virtual dub. Because when I did the sound and the video separately everything was synch whereas in the full process it wasn't.

Yes it takes account the audio delay. You can see it at the Audio tab of the encoder. If you have a negative value press the negative option ;)..

Hi,
If I think what your asking is right, here's the answer:
Yes, Gknot uses Nandub, but only if you are using DivX 3.11. If DivX 4.xx, then it uses Vdub.

GKnot uses Nandub for audio, since Vdub can't manage multiple sound formats. So GKnot for DivX4 will use both.

Good point.
Anyone try cbr audio with Gknot yet? Does it use Nandub for both vbr and cbr, or does it use vdub for cbr audio?
Anyone?

I only use CBR, b/c I think the concept of VBR audio is abhorrent, but I guess that's because I produce music.
Anyhow, works great in Gknot. in the audio tab where you select MP3, custom parameters, in the command line for lame, the only thing I have there is -h This means it will encode at 128kbit CBR, which is pretty decent.
Haven't had a sync issue yet, but i'm still new to GKnot ;)
