Ok Im ripping a 1 hour and 48 minute disc and at the moment its using CCE Encoded Video (The last part of the process) and it says its going to take 15 hours to finish.
I have a pentium 3 processor and a lot of free space on my hard drive.
At the moment there's 9 hours left.
Can anyone tell me how I can speed this process up or why it takes this long???
Has anyone else had this problem???
Please help me!! Thanks.

I have included a screenshot so everyone knows what im talking about.

Well...What can I say...
It's normal. The speed of CCE depends mostly on your CPU, memory, HDD, video material and settings used (like resize filters, noise filters). It's completely normal. If you're doing multipass, it can last that long.I guess you're doing 4-pass multipass. If so, every pass for your CPU (and this particular movie) can last up to 4 hours. So 4 passes means that you have to wait 4 times 4 hours which is 16 hours (more / less).
I see you're using dvd2svcd....
To speed it up a little bit, you can tweak some memory settings in Bios, use different resize filter (SimpleResize instead of Bicubic), do not use any of the noise filters (like TemporalSmoother).

One more thing - do not attach bmps - they're too big. Use gif or jpg instead...

Read dvd2svcd guide, CCE guide and all related stuff and you should find your answer over there. Basically, there is no need for doing 5-pass. 4 is already enough. And multipass is known to give better results in terms of quality than 1 pass. DDogg may be arguing with me here...:)
