This is my first post to the forum so I hope I am following the rules.

Anyways, I am having a problem with my REALmagic DVD Station Control.

Every movie that I encode with DVD2SVCD will not play all the way through from the start of the movie to the end. For some reason the time seems to be accerated to a point where it cuts off the last 10 or 15 minutes of the movie.

If I fast forward to the time where the movie stops I can continue to play it but it will still cut off some of the end.

Has anyone else had this problem & if you have do you have a solution.

I have used VCDXbuild and tried using NERO's SVCD creator (using the files created by BBmpeg). This problem also shows up in Eugene's player but with Eugene's player it will keep on playing even though the display shows that the movie should have ended.

I would stick with Eugene's player even with the weird problems but Eugene's player does not seem to accept SVCD's created with VCDXbuild and I would like to have the DVD chapters that VCDXbuild creates.

Thanks in advance with any help that you guys can give me.

Welcome (http://rilanparty.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16903) coreice,

seems to be a problem with those software players you are using because (there are not many that support proper SVCD playback). Try to use WinDVD 3.x or PowerDVD 4.0 XP (though I don't know if they work together with your REALMagic) they play SVCDs and you can use the chapters with them too.

Greetings,
Gerti

P.S. If you've already read the Stickys above you don't have to hope that you are following the rules - you would know it. ;)

I'm expierincing the same problem. I've encoded multipe episodes of the X-Files (PAL). The episodes all are about 45 minutes in length. When playing the SVCD's with Real Magic the playback stops at 35 minutes. Restarting the playback and moving the "time slider" to 30 minutes enables me to watch the rest of the episode. Also FastForward doesn't function correctly.

I've used Nero / VCDXBuild and CDRWin all resulting to the same problem.

Using PowerDVD or WinDVD is not an option for me (They don't support my Hollywood+ card which I've conected to my tv)

Try to use WinDVD or PowerDVD just to see where the problem is. If these play the videos correctly it is a problem with the Real Magic software and not the SVCD. If this is the case there is not much you can do about it unless Real Magic makes a fix.
Until you test the SVCD's with a commonly used software there isn't much more help we can give you.

@coreice @Coentjo

Same problem here. I'm using WinMe, since XP gave me headaches in using DXR3 (or, the other way round ;) ). Tried installing drivers & player from SigmaDesign. No positive result. Then, after some search, I found this info http://www.americas.creative.com/support/kbase/article.asp?ID=709&Centric=111 . I cannot try any of the solutions offered by Creative, since I am away from home, but I will the moment I arrive. Maybe this will be a solution to our problem.
