I got mail from Tobias today ( in German ;) ), pls. allow me to extract the most important things here :

1. He promised to come by here soon, i guess he is already aware that there is also a huge number of Doom9 members having interest in his filters.

2. I was asking about backwards compatibility as i had noticed there are a big nr. of questions regarding this issue. He stated that this is one of the top priorities for him, as he has more than 60 movies being muxed in his own Ogg format .... most recorded from TV. He will definitely make sure all filters will be backwards compatible for this reason and to reach a wider acceptance of the format.

3. He had started coding at the age of 12, with a Schneider CPC 464 ( Z80 CPU ), mainly doing light effect controlling ( disco ).

Looking forward to welcome him here ....

ps
No more workspaces/projects like vc6, its all "solutions", "rebuild solution" instead of "Rebuild all"...Whats that about huh? :)
