Hey!

I was wondering if there is any idea to deinterlaca in 352*288? I have a frined that says that it does, but I says it doesn't...

352x288 is a quarter PAL resolution. This means, on the Y axis you only take half the fields - so it isn't interlaced in first place.

(Depending on your drivers/codec there might be swapped fields anyways, so if it looks interlaced to you, you should try to use "swap fields on output"[mjpeg codec] or the "field swap" filter from virtualdub on that material).

the source is interlaced since it's captures at 720*576 (DVB-source). Field swap don't help, the only thing that removes the interlaceing is Deinterlace 1.2 Area Based or the "Telecide()" funnction in decomb, but I'm wonmder if this is necessary when I'm resizing ro VCD/PAL resolution?

If you're resizing from full PAL resolution to VCD you have to deinterlace first, else the resulting movie is udly.
