Sorry I posted this question in the wrong section by mistake, so I am reposting it agian here. Please disregard the one posted under DVD2SVCD basic.
I am trying to convert a divx file to SVCD using CCE 2.5 but I am having trouble getting the aspect ratio correct.
The movie is 16:9 and I have tried direct encoding it in CCE 2.5 but it never comes out correct, it always comes out as full screen regardless of my settings.
I have also tired using Virtual Dub as a frameserver and resizing the movie in VD first (new size 480x360 and expand frame and letter box image 480x480). It still comes out wrong. Now I have a letter box but the movie is still to tall (not streched enough). Actually the prior settings didng look quite right in VD either so I tried a different size (new size 480x204 and expand frame and letter box image 480x480). This looks perfect in VD, but for some reason it becomes to wide after encoding with CCE.
I am running out of ideas. Can someone please tell me how to properly encode a 16:9 divx movie to SVCD with letterbox and correct aspect ratio with CCE.
