View Full Version : Finding out average bitrate of lossless audio?

Recently I discovered that mkvverify, which I used to calculate avg bitrate for dtsma/thd/flac is no longer supports mkvs produced with mkvmerge after v5.9. Which brought me to this question.
Except for the brain in cooperation with calc, is there a tool to automatically calculate it?

MediaInfo doesn't work?

MediaInfo's always had a hard time correctly calculating VBR bitrate.

I think I've found what I looked for. Though not as convenient and fast as mkvverify, mkvalidator seems to be doing job just fine with up to date mkvmerge muxed files.

Sadly, the tool to autocalcualte lossless dts/thd bitrate outside the .mkv is still unbeknown.
