Wow I am so glad to see TMPGenc finally being tested with DVD2SVCD!! Unfortunately....it crashes TMPGenc. If I use 2.51 Plus, it stops at they "Try IT" screnn. Pressing "try-it" causes the error window to pop-up, Tmpgenc has caused and error and needs to be shut down. Using 2.51 causes the error right away. I have tried 2pass and CBR.

Using 2.51 causes the error right away.

Please clarify. Do you mean running tmpg by itself crashes? It works great on my machine, both as a standalone and driven by dvd2svcd. As the method uses AviSynth, it is also important to play the avs file with mediaplayer to see if you get a picture or redlines of text. Please try that, and if you have time, report results back to the alpha thread in the Dvd2SVCD advanced forum (stickie at the top).

2.51 and 2.51 plus both work by them selves but not with DVD2SVCD. I will try again and let you know...

Is that the "special" version of 'TMPGenc plus' DDogg without the try it button ??

actually it worked just fine with either. With the demo I just had to manually press the try me and it worked fine.

Tried dvd2svcd with TMPEGEnc 2.51 plus cbr 1500 with angel Template on mission Impossible II and the result is great!!!>> looks and speed (considering it is done in 1 pass instead of 3 or 4):D

DDog, is it possible for u to include insertion of Sequence headers på GOP as an option on the Encoder tab? Both encoders have this as an option inside the program.

And for those of us that need to make other mpeg files with for instance .ac3 sound muxed back into the new programstream and higher bandwith support. (manuall can set like 6 mbit)

Thx

best regards dragmore
