View Full Version : Audio extraction problem with DV files in "avi2svcd"

The audio extraction in "avi2svcd" doesnt work very well with some types of dv clips. Somtimes only half the length of the audio extracts and sometimes the wave consists of nothing.
Would be great if one could chose what audio file to use, like in tmpg :)

1> It is basically alpha stage support
2> It will not do the audio if your clip > 2 megs
3> Must be type 2 DV

ok I do this..
Load the .avi in Virtual dub... for audio compression select PCM, for Video compression Select Uncompressed (RGB). Add a resize filter and add letterboxing if your movie has a aspect ratio differnt from 4:3 or 16:9. Start up a frameserver and load it in avi2svcd, GO!.. = Great Results!!
Only problem that this method is a little bit slow.. only getting about 1.100x realtime on my p4 1,9ghz.
