i have a pioneer dvra03 firmware 1.65 that i have had for about 5 months now. Previously i have only used generic dvd-rs and later cd-recordable dvd-rs. I have had problems with skipping of my cd-recordable media so i decided to buy apple. When i attempt to burn with apple it says:
Image Job Untitled1 Terminated with erros
Error-10 at Sector 624 - Disc Read Error - Command:2A Sense:03 ASC:73 ASCQ:03
oh and i am using prassi primodvd

Hi,
I exclusively use Apple DVD-R, because they are the least expensive branded media in Germany. Never had any issues with them.
Just for reference, sorry can't help you with your probs.

Perhaps you should try Instand CD/DVD? Have you ever tried another Burn Software than Prassi?

Hi,
it has absolutely nothing to do with Prassi. I burned more than 20 DVDs on different Media so far all with Prassi. Not a single coaster. BUT I used branded Media:
- Pioneer
- Apple / same like Pioneer
- Memorex
They all fine. You try to save on Media cost but you get crap (from Vivastar, Mitsui, noname) which cost you more in the end. You know the saying: "Shit in Shit out".
I have a noname Standalone Player equiped with a Pioneer DVD-ROM (IDE). This one basically reads even the crap (see above). Remember the usual Consumer Standalone Player has not such a high sufficticated
DVD-ROM drive with extended error protection/correction build in. If there is a 1x DVD speed drive in the player (which usually is, to reduce noice level) than the drive does not even has the time to do an appropriate error correction.
That's why your coasters run (meduium-) well in your 'puter but fail in a standalone.

OMG, Error-10 at Sector XXX - Disc Read Error - Command:2A, don't tell me about this bastard...
Only two times this error shows its ugly head in my burnings with Primo. First time problem solved with Windows XP clean re-installation (DMA settings, Via IDE drivers, ASPI drivers, master/slave primary/secundary changes, removing Nero...nothing works). Second time closing Motherboard Monitor before burning do the trick.
Don't ask me why this works this way. I don't know the reasons at all.
