Hi!

I have a basic question ... please help me...

I use DVD2SVCD software and convert a DVD movie into its respective BIN and CUE files. I DON'T want to burn them onto CD. I wish to watch those files present in my hard disk. Is this possible? If yes, which player should I use to watch them!?!

Have a nice day!

The answer is sort of a yes and no answer.
First No you cannot watch the .bin/.cue file.

However in DVD2SVCD if you select "do not delete any files"(Misc.Tab) you will find the same number of mpeg files as you have .bin/.cue files. 1 for each set. Each will be named bbmepg_Muxed_File0?.mpg the ?=the number of the mpeg starting with 0. You can watch these just fine on your HD, but use a Software DVD player and not Media Player.
BTW PowerDVD 3.0 will not work, only 4.0 and above or WinDVD.
You will not have chapters or subtitles.

If you wish only these files and do not want the .bin/.cue files then you can select do not make images as well.

Just to expand on markrb's answer, you should get a copy of the excellent Daemon tools:

http://www.daemon-tools.com/

You can then load your bin/cue into the virtual cd-rom it creates and play them as if they were on disk. IMO, everybody should have this installed for testing. If you would like to use powerDV to view them you will need to get a later version.
