(excuse if this thread is in a wrong place)
I have an 800 meg SCVD file. It's quite cropped which I dont like.
Info on the file: MPEG-2 Video 480x480 29.97fps 2450kbps.
I have multiplexed the file with TMPGEnc 2.5 so I could open it with Flask. By resizing the file to 720x576 the video widened quite nicely. The only thing I'm really concerned about is which codec to use: MPEG-4 Low-Motion or Divx 4.12. I played with both and it seems like Low-Motion gives more FPS: about 8 to 10. It's not a lot but encoding on my Athlon 700 is a pain. I looked everywhere for some info on that particular conversion but found actually nothing. Gknot is not going to help because I'm not ripping the DVD. What I'm looking for are the parameters that would give the best quality.
