Do You think, is possible run all steps before videoencoding on one PC, VideoEncoding on second PC => spend less time
Then copy all on one PC and mux, ..., finished.
Of course - all PC is in NET and ripped files are stored on HDD.
May by add some as "Crash recovery" function for standallone steps too (of course, for this steps, which can be standallone ?

Hi machura,
Have a look on your last dvd2svcd_log.txt and see how long it takes until video encoding starts. ;) - Right, about half an hour or so, and you sure will loose this half an hour by fumbling around with copying and recovering. The whole process will not scale very good on more PCs because the video encoding step is the only part that counts (if you do not downsample). ;)

3H encoding before Video? Are you downsampling?
If you are playing the SVCD on a PC or a Stand Alone DVD player this is not needed and a complete waste of time. Uncheck it and save yourself some serious time.
To do what you suggest is not worth the effort and likely problems.
If you have two computers your time is much better spent working on one and letting DVD2SVCD work on the other.

No, I didnt downsamle audio. But I was rip subtitles too and movie was 150mins.
I'm still looking for solution for me. I have still big problems and must trying whole movie, not only chapters.
I'm trying still different bitrate, CD media, cleaning of DVD Player ... Still same problems - video time to time stops for some frames and then continue, but audio is OK. Can be, that my Thomson DTH5000 has not well "self error-recovering" functions and time to time doesn't read well => errors in video ?
I tried burning on 10x,4x,2x,1x, CD-R 90mins -> 80mins -> 74mins, bitrate max. 2490 - still same .... ( on CDRW10x 80mins burned on 10x - same ).
I am lubricate transmission - better, but still not well.
It is very strange, because I think, bad reading must to make mosaic on video, but my movie stops whole frame(s) and then continues ...
Can be anything set bad in CC* or others, what can make it ?
It is strange, "freeze" frames are mostly in parts, where isn't big changes.

Do You think, is in this case better set min. bitrate to higher value ? F.eg. 500bps ?
