I'm hoping I've done everything I should have before posting this. If I've missed a step I apologize ahead of time. With the latest 4 build releases of 1.0.6 I've had one problem solved and another appear. Right after CCE finishes the .mpv bbMPEG looks for an mp2 that isnt there apparently the error message i get is "Input file D:\Download\Movies\Encoded_audio_1.mp2 was not found." and it just sits there. there is a log file for that Encoded_audio_1 and it says "Error 57: Error opening "D:\Download\Movies\Extracted_audio_1".
Quiting..." There is plenty of room on the drive i'm working with I am using Windows 2k with SP2 on an AMD Athlon 1.4GHZ 512 DDR Ram. I tried all suggested tests for people who were having difficulties with CCE freezing before and everything was okay. CCE now runs correctly. I read in the release notes
"- Fix: BeSweets mpglib.dll is not very stable, so whenever the audio is a MPA (mp2 or mp2) I use MADPlay to convert it to a wav file. DSPguru is looking into this, so when he has something new, I'll remove madplay again. "
Not sure if this has to do with my problem or not, if it does I'll shut up and be patient.

TIA

Robin

the filename seems to be wrong, it should be "Extracted_audio_1.ac3" or something similar...

Hi t-diva,

what DSPguru wants to say is that in the BeSweet commandline the bold text should have read like this. So the commandline was wrong for some unknown reasons. ;)

I think the desired audio stream was not found (perhaps not on DVD?) - have a look at this:

--------------------------------------------------------
- 2/9/2002 11:49:22 PM
- Free on drive D: 2637.45 mb
- AUDIO Extraction
--------------------------------------------------------
Audio1 delay: -187 ms
Audio stream 0 was not found!
Audio extraction finished.

Shouldn't it read like this?:

--------------------------------------------------------
- 03.02.2002 01:36:25
- Free on drive G: 19152.31 mb
- AUDIO Extraction
--------------------------------------------------------
Found AC3 stream id: 0x81
Filename: G:\Ripping\Extracted_audio_1.ac3
Audio1 delay: 0 ms
Audio extraction finished.

It's just an example from my last encoding, but it seems that the correct audio stream wasn't found and then all went wrong - just a guess.

gerti67

Hmm,

that's weird, as you said it worked before? How about using internal ripping routines as it seems you haven't used them for the ripping step. Usually they work better - so try ripping with them and see if this will fix the problem.
