i let dv2svcd run overnite last nite and when i woke up it was frozen at CCE at 24 %. i had just downloaded and installed the new version so i thought this might be the problem. therefore, i uninstalled and then reinstalled the older b3 and let it work. however, cce froze again, this time it happened when it was trying make the .vaf file. i made absolutely no changes to my comp. everything was exactly the same as when cce had succesfully worked. cce worked before and now it has crashed twice in a row. any suggestions as to what might be wrong? i never had this problem b4. thnx for your input.

try an encode you know worked before
different dvds can cause cce problems

what else have you tried already from all of the information related to this in this forum ?

xrv thanx for that idea. im trying to rip "the good, the bad and the ugly". maybe 'cuz its so old that something is going wrong.

i dont get what you mean by your question: "what else have you tried by all the information related to in this forum?"

by the way, i tried to do the rip again last night. when i woke cce was frozen at 74 %. i hope what you are saying is right xrv. i will try a different dvd at a lower pass and will post the results as soon as i'm finished.

ciao till then

please run the prime95 torture test on you machine for us if you have time. I would be very interested if you get errors from it. You would need to run it all night if possible.

Hello TheeeGod 3,

i dont get what you mean by your question: "what else have you tried by all the information related to in this forum?" xrv1138 wanted to know if you did a search with the "search" button (try "CCE AND freeze") and read through the huge amount of suggestions which are about to solve the CCE freezes - you know, this is the #1 topic, I think. ;)

If this will not help report back.

Greetings,
Gerti
