Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, Scenarist BD 5.7 came out and it uses a different method of exporting images.

I couldn't find official instructions on how it is supposed to work--I stumbled upon a post somewhere that said the xxxx.img folders need to be mounted with the FMX mounter application to gain access to the muxed files/images.

Mounting seems to work okay, I see a virtual drive withe the muxed files in in, but I can't get the mounted data to open in Scenarist QC. It just says it is not a valid volume. I'v tried both FSImage0.img and Wrapping.img, but both give the same error. Does anyone know how the process is supposed to work or where I can find official documentation on it?

Thanks.

If you aren't doing 3D work, I'd recommend just using 5.3.2, it makes life SO much easier... 5.7 was just combining the 2D and 3D software into one program officially, and adding this stupid mux engine.

Mounting the virtual image I believe is the right thing to do, that works with PowerDVD... Not sure why SQC can't see it. Try copying the files from the virtual image a physical location on your harddrive and playing that in QC, see if that works...

Worse case, contact Sonic and see if they have any advice... I don't think QC has been updated in a long time, maybe it's not compatible with virtual images? Seems weird though, I suspect it's something else...

That's good advice. Sonic/Rovi was really pushing 5.7, and their claims of faster muxing sounded really promising, but this work flow isn't saving me any time. If I can't preview the disc without burning/copying it first, a quicker mux doesn't help any!
