I have used DVD2SVCD 1.0.5 (b4) and made the images (VCDXbuild) with two audio tracks (german / english) and i used the cbr method (5 times).
I use CDRWin 3.8 and opened the cue-files. The burning works fine, but i can't use the CDs. On my computer the CD-Rom-Drive can't read the disks at all, and on an other computer i suddenly have an audio cd (which doesn't work of course)
Where is the problem?

To play a SVCD disk on your computer you need to use a software DVD player.
PowerDVD 3.0 does not work with SVCD's.
You can use PowerDVD 4.0 and/or WinDVD to play them on your computer.

Second possiblity is that CDRWIN is known to make coasters if it does not like the serial number. Instead of saying this serial number doesn't work CDRWIN accepts the number and burns bad discs. This is on purpose. It's CDRWIN's idea of poetic justice for people trying to register without paying.

If your Software DVD player does not play the disk then try using VCDeasy to burn. It's free and there is a guide in the Newbie FAQ.

To see if the video encoded correctly you can play the Muxed_Mpeg file in your Software DVD player. Media Player will play them, but not correctly most of the time.

the problem is, that the disks aren't readable at all (at my computer). That means that there aren't any files on the disk.

I'm using WinDVD and i know that PowerDVD can't play SVCDs. But i cannot open the Muxed_Mpeg in my Software DVD Player because I can't read the disk at all...

Which Program can burn the image with the cue-file? Perhaps cdrwin makes the mistake (how you said)...

"the problem is, that the disks aren't readable at all (at my computer). That means that there aren't any files on the disk."

Markrb has it right - with a bad serial # CDRWin will burn coasters - It puts garbage on the disk which is totally unreadable - so to your computer it looks like there is NO information on the CD-R - It looks to your computer like a BLANK disk with no files of any type on it.

Hi !!!

I've exeprienced just the same as you, tried fireburner, cdrwin nero 5.5.6.4 and none of them worked for me.

Then I installed nero 5.5.7.2 :D

After that I've been a happy man !!!

Nero 5.5.7.2 with new support for *.cue files !!

Give it a try !!!
