hi
i opened the bitrate viewer to have a look on the picture settings of a dvd movie
first i load the 1 .vob and it`showed me thats it interlaced,than the
2. to 6.vobare progressive.. that means the first is interlaced and the rest progressive
is this possible??

Hi orbit-r,

seems to be correct, as most of the PAL R2 movies are just "flagged" as "interlaced" but in 99% of the cases are real "progressive" DVDs.

And BitrateViewer seems to read the flag at start and then it does not update it anymore. If you are using DVD2AVI and load the vob files with it you can see (e.g. with "Shrek") that DVD2AVI shows "interlaced" in Frame Type when previewing it and just switches to "progressive" right after the "Dreamworks" intro of the movie within the first vob file.

So it's not unusual although i want to know why they're doing this - i don't have a clue. ;)
