filter suggestions wanted

I haven't messed with new scripts in Avisynth in a long time, I was wondering if somebody who has kept up with the various plugins out there could recommend filters for the following situations:

1. Deinterlacing - Several years ago I remember some of the default options for deinterlacing not being very good. I think I had good luck with TDeint filter (or something name that), I just wanted to see what people recommend these days.

2. Compression clean-up filter. I have some footage that was unfortunately compressed in WMV that I wanted to try and clean up and restore. A de-ringing filter, something like that. If it makes a difference, the content for this is animated.

1. If you want fast, I would go with Tdeint or Yadif.

2. HQDering is what your looking for, especially for animation. If your footage is a little noisy, you should give FFT3DFilter a try.
