View Full Version : Alternative to Gordian Knot?
Flatliner

Now, I've been using Gordian Knot for years and years and can almost do it blindly. But, it hasn't been improved or worked at (completely abandoned I believe) since probably I started using it.
Is there anything like Gordian Knot which I could use now that I'm up to Windows 7 and things don't always work as expected in Gordian Knot?
:thanks:

Use Staxrip instead.

I don't know if I'd describe it as being like Gordian Knot, but I'd suggest trying MeGUI. Or there's other alternatives.... FFCoder, HDConvertToX, RipBot etc.

I still use Gordian Knot to set up a project, but I save the .avs file and encode it with more recent builds of VirtualDub and x264.

wouldn't be easier to just use ripbot264. are you really encoding to ancient .avi?

Staxrip, Ripbot, MeGUI are the best.
