I bought the blu ray movie "Green Lantern" extended cut on Ebay.
When I load the disc in my player, it starts "reading " and
then "stop" with no error messages. The dvd version is fine.
When I unwrapped the brand new, sealed blu ray package,
the blu ray disc was loose ie. it wasn't sitting in the holder.
On closer examination, I noticed a few small indents around the
outside of the disc. Can these affect the reading of the
disc data. I tried it on another blu ray player and the same
thing happens...reads then stops.
Should I return the movie to seller and ask for refund/replacement.

Does the player react at keystrokes, like MENU, TOP MENU, DISC MENU ?
Is the latest FW on the player? Beware of cinavia, though ...

Problem solved. I contacted the seller and he
suggested a firmware update . After downloading
the update, the blu ray disc now plays perfectly.
You may close this thread, thanks everyone.

My Blu ray doesn't read anymore neither. However it was just outdated software, had me going crazy.

Good thing I saw this post. I was just about to call for DVD replacement never thought that it could be the player that's acting up. Thanks!
