I just bought Stripes (1981) bluray [I hope its OK to mention the specific bluray].

The studio, in their infinite wisdom decided to only include the special edition with an extra 20 minutes and not the original version of the movie. Needless to say I am a bit pissed off and want to fix it for my own personal viewing.

I don't need to discuss the mechanics of decryption or demuxing, just the process involved for cutting several scenes out. They don't have to be frame accurate, just at the beginning/end of specific scenes at the keyframe would be nice.
I tried out free video dub (2.03) but I dont think it was designed for 30+ gigabyte files.

Thanks in advance for the help and feel free to move this thread if I have started it in the wrong section.

In case anybody is interested, here is where they added scenes:

0:14:50 to 17:08 extended apt scene
0:40:25 to 40:36 kitchen scene
0:41:27 to 50:17 transport/south america scene
1:02:35 to 1:03:50 captain stillman's office
1:29:51 to 1:30:44 EM50 loading/Hulka
1:35:05 to 1:37:10 extended german chalet scenes
1:42:10 to 1:43:40 Convincing Russell to go to Czechoslovakia

I can see that I have clearly landed in the "indifference zone". Nobody is interested enough to help, nobody is irritated enough to complain. I'll just have to slog on through this and document the process here so anybody else with a similar need can hopefully stumble across this with a Google search....

Hi!

It's been a "whopping" 7 hours since you initially posted here and you're complaining about the lack of a response - you must be joking...

Despite that - Try tsMuxer or multiAVCHD...

And please don't whine ;>}
