Hi,
I have heared that it is possible to also rip with dolby sourround support or dolby digital 5.1

Is this possible with DVD2SVCD?

At the moment I have selected stereo as tooLame mode. What does DualChannel / Joint stereo under audio mean?

Hi TKSoft2000,

in fact dvd2svcd produces just a fine surround sound that is Dolby Pro Logic compatible (be sure to set your receiver to this mode if it is not switching to it automatically). Real Dolby 5.1 is possible for SVCDs but not supported by many DVD players and not yet supported by dvd2svcd.

Edit:
Just leave the default "stereo" selected to enable surround encoding.

Hi machura,

what about using the "search" button of the forum more often? ;)
It functions pretty well now ;).

When doing a search with "5.1 AND SVCD" it shows you for example these threads:

http://rilanparty.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14567
http://208.189.26.162/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=9113

Have a look at them as it seems there are some samples to download and i think this is what you were looking for.

This is beyond the scope of this program and forum.
Try the Audio Encoding Forum if you want to do that.

You cannot do this in DVD2SVCD and there are no plans to add it.

err... you are asking for a 5.1_audio_for_SVCD... didn't you know that such audio is (mandatory) a mpa file:o

just take those mpa files, take also some sort of video files - they are mpv files - and mux both with Iauthor or mplex (I don't know it the latter works). Now, this sistem mpv_video+mpa_audio is called mpg (or mps if muxed with Iauthor) and you can make a svcd. Follow doom9's svcd guides for more informations.

I know, that is only audio (5.1), but i didnt know, how convert it to MPG ( with video). That was why I am searched for some MPG file with sound in 5.1.

I download 2 files: audiomc51.mps

When I trying to make step 7) from http://www.labdv.com/en/examples/svcd_audio.php

I get still error:

VMP application files don't be defined
Error 10002: File audio5.1mps is not a track format
