Vegas Pro 11 trying to open Huffyuv files

Anyone successfully opened a Huffyuv encoded AVI with Vegas Pro 11 yet?

I can open them in Corel VideoStudio x4 but not with Vegas Pro 11. I'd prefer Vegas Pro 11 for the obvious reasons.

Please advise as I most always use Huffyuv or Lagarith to compress my edited video files to save disk space when I am working on a video project.

BTW, I am still on Vegas 10 and happily use UT as intermediate there.
What happens if you use UT on Vegas 11 ?
