Hi everyone, and wow to dvd2svcd, i'm a complete convert! I have a question relating to batch conversion with the prog.
I have 4 episodes on one dvd and would like to know if it's possible to convert the episodes at once, rather that one at a time? I this option available? or can i create an option.
thanks

Hi launton,
as i'm not an expert in ripping episodes i just can suggest to have a look at the Official dvd2svcd Q&A (you can find from the Newbie FAQ) or in Advanced Forum (Sticky). Have a look at Q41 or do a search in the forum (search button) and look for "episode" as this topic has been discussed here before.

Out of the box, no there is no way to do a batch like that.
You maybe able to write a script or something, but that's over my head.
You can rip each episode and deal with them like a 2 sided DVD. This would be more work up front, but you could do all of them in one encode. The problem here is that it's almost impossible to control the way the video is cut unless you do it manually in BBmpeg and that would be a pain, because you would need to know the precise point at which each episode starts.
In the end I think it would be easiest to just treat each episode as a different DVD.

Thanks once again for your replies, it's nice to see veterans bothering with newbies questions. Quit happy to continue episode by episode. Funnily enough i have found a dvd that gives i/o error in dvd2svcd rip process, and smartripper, dvd decrypter, looks like one of the disk has 'broken blocks' is this disk faulty? apparently it plays fine in a dvd player, but i haven't tested it yet as it takes so long to rip and convert i'm sick of the sight of it.
