I need help..
I bought some region 2 Blu-rays from the UK and of course they don't play here in our stand alone players and I don't want to get a region free player either so, I tried ripping them with great success and region free activated but after I burn a new disc none will play back on any stand alone players :-( mind you they play fine on a computer but that's not what I want to do, I need to know if there is a way to re-author them so that I can get them to play on stand alone North American players or am I just wasting my time? If there is a way please help and tell me which software program will do such thing so I can go buy it, thanks in advance.

I cannot offer too much detail as I do not do PAL to NTSC myself but I can give you a hint: You probably need to do a PAL to NTSC conversion in addition to the region issues.

DVDs use numbered region codes.... region 1, region 2 etc... but I thought Bluray used A, B & C region codes.

You already asked this on the Slysoft forum. The suggestion was to use BDRebuilder to convert your 1080i50 content to a format that your player likes (say 1080p24)

bdrebuilder didn't help and didn't work to what I wanted to do and there was no other reply on slysoft to any other software that anyone knew about so I thought I'd ask the question here to see if there was anyone else that may know of other software available that I can buy to re-author my movies, if I did something wrong I appologize but still to no avail :-(

I would suggest Avisynth to do the conversion, it is free and open source but it may take more work than I think you are hoping for.

Convert 25 1080i to 24p is a totally waste of time.. first it will look very crappy because a true interlaced video can't properly converted to 24p, it will not be fluid like you see on a 25 interlaced. The best thing you can do is buy another bluray player that supports PAL 25fps (DVD and 1080i) , like LG, samsung and some other models.. Sony bluray players suck because of that, i have a lot of sports in 25 1080i that i can't play on the sony Ps3 :scared:

Hi! if I did something wrong I appologize but still to no availYou've certainly done nothing wrong by seeking assistance at more than one independent forum ;>}
Although I'd be very pleasantly surprised if this works, for a movie-only version, try loading the appropriate .MPLS file into tsMuxer, highlight the videostream and select "Change fps" anhd select the appropriate speed from the dropdown list (or enter your own)...
