Is it possible that during playback after making a subtitle selection the player can remember the timecode and continue playing from the timecode the selection was made?

The display if expression is true options work like this. If a user has selected, lets say chinese subtitles and have watched part of the movie that way, then they go to, lets say a menu called "news", and the "news" menu is in english, you can have the "news" menu check to see if the subtitle stream was english, if not, display another menu. perhaps "chinese". get it?

Thanks. I get it. I know that I have to make Menus with different languages.

Is it true that Button Pre Selection has nothing to do with Display Condition? Display Condition is for the hole Menu.

No, I guess it is not. Under Buttons I can make a selection :
Set Audio To
Set Subtitle To
Set Angle To

Pre-Selection condition is to view the right menu faster I guess. But how can the player know what to do if I use Menu Language >= English?

yes, button pre-selection is different. you are right, one deals with buttons, one the whole menu. but this is important, and i didn't understand it at first. stream PRE-selection doesn't matter when doing the the menu selection stuff. for example. lets say you do an overall subtitle pre-selection of sub track 1. then the user goes and chooses sub track 2 in your menus. all of this selections have been "pre-selection!". meaning, if you have a menu statement of "if sub stream - 2 then goto menu 3", it wont work because they haven't played the selected stream. until the play it, its just a pre-selection.

and i dont think you can specify menu language. you can specify sub, audio and video track. you know which track is english, chinese etc. based on the tracks you create, you can have the menu jump to a different one. the software doesn't know which tracks are what language.

hope this made sense.

noodles009 - thank you again.

I've seen a guy to work with Scenarist. Under VTS he made a Language Menu - it's a menu only with buttons and links to other PGCs. He had defined a language setting to the menu. And as I can remember he made the same for all the languages in the project.
