Hi everybody
I encoded small video clip in vidcoder high profile crf 18 and megui 1pass losless preset with crf 18. And checked mediainfo of both file. But file encoded with megui doesn't show crf 18 but with vidcoder show crf 18 in mediainfo file. I want to know how to find crf value in video encoded with megui.
Thanx

Lossless and CRF 18 (=lossy) contradict each other, so if you can't find any info on the CRF in mediainfo, chances are you encoded losslessy. (Profile: High 4:4:4 Predictive, rc=qcp, qp=0 in MediaInfo, also the filesize will be huge)

Deinstall and reinstall MeGUI and use one of the presets it comes with. Don't use any homegrown presets if you don't know what you are doing.

I just opened an MKV file with MediaInfo (version 0.7.48) and it definitely included the CRF value with the rest of the Encoder Settings. The MKV was encoded with MeGUI.
MediaInfo only seems to display all the encoder settings (well the CRF value, at least) when using some view modes. Basic, Sheet and Tree view modes don't seem to include the CRF value while Text and HTML view modes do.
I don't recall MeGUI ever having a Lossless or Insane preset. Maybe it's something to do with the presets you're using?
