Has anyone of you met this strange error of DVD Shrink? If yes, how did you solve it?

The location points to a HDD which holds an edited version of a home video. The video itself is free from errors.
I have all the rights on that folder, any other program seems to work, but not DS. If I move the content to my C:, then everything goes ok.

Hi!
Sounds like something in the .IFO file points specifically to your C:\ Drive...

I moved it to another location, different both from C: and L: and no problems. DS also refuses to write on the same drive (L:) with a similar error message, actually it creates the directory structure and the first VOB file, but it fills in with several kB/MB before giving up. That's extremely annoying because I've bought this drive specially to be used as a temp one. It's the only drive I have that refuses to "collaborate" with DS.
PS: Is there anything in an IFO file that is related to the support it resides? I was unaware of anything like this....

No, ifo files contain only relative pointers to the file layout on a DVD. On other devices programs using the pointers must figure out what file and where in it the desired data would be on a DVD, using the standard file layout and sector size. It looks like your L: device is write-protected, at least to DS, for some reason.
