Video plays shorter than it's claimed

Hello, I can't figure out what went wrong. Converted video from DVD plays shorter than claimed by MediaInfo.
Original video (DVD) length is 1h28m (5325926 ms) at 29.970fps. I assume it's a NTFS. Now converted it to AVC with this script:

LoadPlugin("ffms2.dll")
FFVideoSource("title00.mkv", cachefile="title00.ffindex")
AssumeFPS(29.970)
Crop(0,0, -Width % 8,-Height % 8)
ConvertToYV12()
Crop(0,6,-0,-10)

and this command line :

x264 --sar 40:33 --output "title00.h264" "title00.avs"

The output's FPS still matches the original: 29.970 fps. After muxing, video stream reports same time and fps as original (1h28m, 29.970fps), however it seems to play faster than original (Video player shows the played video length as 1:11:16 which is about 17min shorter than it should be, if I fast forward at the same and (~1:11) I reach the end titles so it seems the video is not cut any way. How's this possible and what went wrong?
The encoder reported 128164 frames encoded. Original video exact length is 5325.926s which at framerate 29.970 should be 159618 frames. Where occured the loss of frames?



Update: The problem is in AVS file. If I open it in video player, the video length is reported 1:11:16 too.
Guessingly AviSynth for some reason reframes it to lower framerate but why if AssumeFPS(29.970) is present?

I think the reason is that original framerate in mkv is not 29.970 but rather something smaller, possibly variable. ffms2.dll is able to handle these kind of things but yuo shouldn't change the framerate it outputs. Does it have right duration without assumefps?
If this is true and you want to get 29.970 as output for some reason, you probably should check ffms2's manual to see how it can be configured to achieve that. I'm not dealing with vfr stuff very often so don't remember most of these things.

EDIT: Also if this is really DVDrip that done right and the content is not some live action tv series, then probably framerate should be 23.976, you shouldn't assume that framerate reported for the original dvd can be applied to dvdrip in the way you do it.

Actually by doing simple calculation using your framerates and number of frames it looks like i was right when said that your video is 23.976 fps
