Version 4.0.1.0: Merge and split movie files

New smart feature:
- add movie merge (merge several movie files into one file)

New feature (all editions, input files must not have multi-audio or multi-subtitle tracks):
- add movie split to volumes (split one file into fixed-size volumes)
- add movie split into equal parts (divide one file into several ones)

Smart Edition:
- increase maximum video bitrate for H.264 HDTV and DivX Plus HD codecs from 4000Kbps to 20000Kbps
- set default video bitrate at 6000Kbps for H.264 HDTV and DivX Plus HD codecs
- no longer ask for activiation at every start

All:
- change H.264 HDTV and DivX Plus HD bitrates for medium and high profiles
- limit job manager window width (too large with too long fine names)

Windows:
- updated FFmpeg engines to 32-bit N-34031-ge403a97 and 64-bit
- updated MediaInfo to 0.7.51
- upgrade to Qt 4.7.4 libraries

Mac OS X:
- fix job title display in job manager window (first job title vertical display was shrinked)
- upgrade to Qt 4.7.4 libraries

Linux (Ubuntu):
- back to Qt 4.7.2 libraries for compile platform (Ubuntu 11.10 libmenu issue with Qt 4.7.4)
- Ubuntu Unity notes:
a) to remove Global Menu: sudo apt-get remove appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-gtk appmenu-qt
which is revertible: sudo apt-get install appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-gtk appmenu-qt
b) to run an DVDx 4 with the menu inside the application window and not on the Uniy panel
(which is not a regular Gnome Panel!): UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 dvdx4
c) to run an DVDx 4 with the menu in both the Unity panel and the application window,
like so: APPMENU_DISPLAY_BOTH=1 dvdx4

Developpers (Open Edition):
- introducing new encoder and media analyzer interfaces (much faster and easier to manage)

When the main windows of the program is maximized the system tray of my Win 7 Home Ed. x32 PL obscures the bottom option section, so I cannot set any. In fact I cannot even press "start encoding".

I can't reproduce that behavior. When I maximize DVDx 4.0 it goes at top-left but doesn't change window size (no video loaded).

This is normal behavior because DVDx 4.0 keep it's size to fit loaded video.

Maybe you have low screen rezolution or very large video rezolution.

Anyway, they're 2 solutions:

A) Player menu, Display zoom submenu, choose 1:4

B) If you've closed DVDx with a too large window, you have to reset settings: Options menu, Clear all settings menu.

I guess you gona solve this, please keep me posted.

And btw, next version we're working on will have a more powerful player with better resizing behavior.

Thanks for the hint. The #1 option works! Actually I see that o9nly "auto settings" work wrong. All other work with flying colors.

I use a Sapphire ATI Radeon 5770 video card with latest (11.11) Catalyst drivers. The resolution of my screen is 1680*1050 pixels.

one question....

dvdx-4.0.1.0-win32.exe
dvdx-4.0.1.0-macosx_x86_64.dmg
dvdx-4.0.1-0_i386.deb

why?

For Windows: dvdx-4.0.1.0-win32.exe
For Mac OS X (intel): dvdx-4.0.1.0-macosx_x86_64.dmg
For Linux (intel): dvdx-4.0.1-0_i386.deb

For Mac OS X (intel): dvdx-4.0.1.0-macosx_x86_64.dmg
For Linux (intel): dvdx-4.0.1-0_i386.deb

sourcecode (open edition) compile* in my 64bits linux machine

why only distribute only 32bits binary?

*build-release-linux.sh: line 2: ../../tools/linux/buildnumber: No such file or directory

don't exist "/tools/buildnumber" in sourcecode 7z

fail build

I guess 64-bit build won't add any performance value while it requires one more compiler platform to manage. But I have it in my list anyway (much to do with features before).

For compilation, see the Developers-Compiling page:
http://www.labdv.com/dvdx/dev-compiling.php

The tools.7z is there.

change in interfacemplayer.cpp
#define RX_CATCH_MPLAYER_OUTPUT_STATUS "(mplayer\\s+[^\\s]+.*MPlayer Team)"
#define RX_PARSE_MPLAYER_SIGNATURE "(mplayer)\\s+([^\\s]+).*(MPlayer Team)"

to
#define RX_CATCH_MPLAYER_OUTPUT_STATUS "(mplayer\\d*\\s+[^\\s]+.*MPlayer Team)"
#define RX_PARSE_MPLAYER_SIGNATURE "(mplayer\\d*)\\s+([^\\s]+).*(MPlayer Team)"

Because mplayer signature is MPlayer2.

I've change for further versions (so thanks by the way)
