OK, so I have a movie that I'd like to split across three CDs. Right now this movie is in two halves as DivX AVI files. This is what I've done so far...

1. movie is 25 fps. I separate out the audio into WAV files.
2. I serve the AVI files, video only, from VirtualDub with the proper resizing to 480x480 and changing the frame rate to 23.976. TMPGEnc creates two .m2v files, one for each half.
3. the WAV files are stretched out to 104.27% to compensate for the longer play time and also encoded separately by TMPGEnc.

So now I have movie1.m2v, movie1.mp2, movie2.m2v, movie2.mp2, totalling 2.4 GB. I still need to cut out the last 10 seconds out of the movie1 files because there's some overlap between the two halves.

Could someone just tell me the best program to cut out the last 10 seconds of the movie1 files, merge all the audio and video files together and then cut them up again into chunks that fit onto 3 CDs?

Hmm.... So I muxed using TMPGEnc and cut off the bit of the end of the first half with DVTool and merged/split the two halves into thirds with DVTool, it didn't leave much room for user control... I wanted to be able to visually define the amounts to be cut off and where to split. Is there a better tool than DVTool?

Yes, I did try TMPGEnc, but it de-sync'ed the audio from the video when I tried cutting to the frame...

What prog did you use to stretch the audio? I've tried this with virtualdub and sound forge but could never get the audio in sync with video after converting from pal 25 fps to ntsc 23.976...
