pioneer a03 ripping speeds

when i rip a dvd it only goes at 2x not 4x. i only got 4x once or twice. does anyones pioneer rip at 4x everytime.

Even if you have a 16x DVD ROM drive it's really rare for it to rip at 16x. I have a Pioneer 16x and it's usually around 3x-14x depending on what portion of the DVD it's reading (the further out the faster the reading). So getting 2x-4x on the A03 is absolutely normal.
But I would really suggest you buy a seperate DVD-ROM drive to rip a DVD instead of using the DVD-R drive....
